Choosing to investigate and make a lapbook about the Korean autumn festival, Chuseok.
"Chuseok (Korean: 추석; Hanja: 秋夕; [tɕʰu. ... ɥi]; from archaic Korean for "the great middle (of autumn)"), is a major harvest festival and a three-day holiday in South Korea celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar on the full moon. In North Korea, they only celebrate for the day of chuseok."

The Boy chose his next lapbook to be about the Mexican autumn festival, The Day of the Dead.

The Boy has suspected concussion from a hard tackle at rugby training and is also fighting a cold and asthma, so he's had a good rest week, baking and cooking and mooching about in his pyjamas. He's now climbing the walls and he needs at least another week off, so wish me luck :)
So... how many things can we make out of pumpkin? The challenge is on!

The Boy made pumpkin muffins and a pumkpin teddy bear cake...
...and Sunbaby scooped out the tiny pumpkin she picked from the patch.
