This project was three-fold. A look at China, Chinese New Year, and an exploration of the Winter Olympics which were held in China during the weeks we were studying it.

The Boy has been doing some lovely work for our downstairs loo frames! Our timeline runs around the top and we've been putting his work in frames underneath. He researched the giant panda breeding programmes and did a great article on their successes.

Another project done

With great timing Monkey Girl had a ballet university audition in London, so The Boy and I accompanied her and visited the Cutty Sark while we waited. He learnt about the Cutty Sark's travels to China where it was loaded with tea chests before sailing home to England. We saw an orginal tea chest, walked in the cargo hold, explored the cabins and main deck, and had lunch underneath it. A great way to finish our China project.

While we were there, we also visited the Old Navy College, the National Maritime Museum and the Queen's House.

A great day out with a great kid.
