VE Day 80
Looking for Fuller's Earth mining pits - we found them everywhere! Fuller's earth has been used since Roman times - it's a clay which formed under the Greensand Ridge from volcanic ash from the Cretaceous Period.
Looking for Gault clay
We found some, took it home and made a messy mess with it!
Remembering and honouring local war dead on VE Day 80
The Vikings sailed up this river to fight, and eventually settle, in the local area.
