The last of the girls' Spring work. Ballet Girl had her first look at fractions and Monkey Girl completed a booklet about the lifecycle of a frog.

This morning I discovered Ballet Girl had changed Panda Girl's nappy and was in the process of choosing her clothes and dressing her, tights et al.
The result!!
Monkey Girl has spent a great deal of time recently teaching Panda Girl how to play catch. Panda Girl thinks it is the most fun thing to do ever :)
The girls' peas are growing so well I have transferred them into a larger pot.
Ballet Girl spent the day today with Nanny M to give her a change of scenery, before term-time activities re-commence. Monkey Girl asked to do some painting so we made symmetry butterflies, where she painted one side and then folded it over.
Monkey Girl's symmetry butterflies.
Monkey Girl's writing practice. She made a lovely book about the life cycle of a butterfly.
Panda Girl did some glueing today and then, no kidding, spent AN HOUR AND TEN MINUTES peeling it off her fingers. She was so, so quiet!
New story tapes. They love them!
Monkey Girl beaded a caterpillar using a fluffy pipe cleaner and green beads.
The finished caterpillar complete with half-eaten leaf.
Ballet Girl and Monkey Girl spend most of their spare time doing lots of boy things two houses up the lane with their little friend. They spend a great deal of time digging up this patch of earth, or laying bricks. Today I found them hammering nails in to bits of wood and raking mud.
It must be so lovely for Ballet Girl to know that when Papa comes home he will be able to fix her bike. And he did - first thing! :)
We woke up on Sunday morning to a beautiful white world. I personally was woken by the sound of lots of squealing and small children running round throwing on hats and gloves...

Today we went to a 'Craft Morning' at our local library. The girls did some great work. We zipped around the market and then went to the park.
The girls' work.
Pic-nic lunch.
Plasticine bugs.
This book is fantastic! The girls loved it!
Butterfly face-painting request.
... and Panda Girl asked to be a ladybird :)
The girls spent all afternoon outside...

In their jim-jams this morning making things at their 'Creation Station'.
Lacing...
The girls' 'Shape Shop'.
This afternoon, after a fun trip to our friend's toy shop and then a great walk to the park, Ballet Girl set up a drawing table for her sisters...

This evening I set up a 'Creation Station" for the girls to have fun with in the morning... wish me luck clearing up...
This morning the girls did some spring finger painting. They made caterpillars, butterflies and blossom.
My Panda Girl.
Finger painting pictures.
Our caterpillars have turned into butterflies! We gave our pom pom caterpillars wings today...
We made a blossom tree! (An old branch covered in sparkly things).

First thing this morning while the girls waited for their porridge they made some pom-pom caterpillars on wooden pegs. Panda Girl loved hers very much :)
Caterpillars made out of hearts and a dragonfly made by Monkey Girl.
Panda Girl had great fun playing with the rice today. She made me lots of '"ice cream" :)
I gave the girls lots of letters and they had to find and write their names. Monkey Girl found and stuck all her letters in a bizarre order but her name came out perfectly and she was very chuffed.
We made some fab curly butterfly headbands. Monkey Girl wore hers all day. Panda Girl told me hers was blue. She also counted to ten today which I didn't realise she could do! (She can count in Swahili too!)
Insect words books.
After lunch we went to the library for some spring books (and about 35 bedtime books!)
This afternoon the girls planted the flower seeds they chose from our local garden centre.

To kickstart our new Spring project I took the girls to a Butterfly Park. We have never been before and they loved it!!
