Panda Girl made a fantastic pom pom snake.
This morning the girls worked to 'Sounds of the Rainforest' - lots of lovely bird and monkey calls, rain falling and the stillness of the forest. They were enthralled :)

Today's rainforest worksheets (Panda Girl did a beautiful frog - bottom left). Ballet Girl did a great wordsearch and frog crossword. Monkey Girl made a lovely number snake.

Rainforest animals: a blue chameleon, a leopard Panda Girl was a snake.

We found some insects for our forest floor.

The girls found this so funny. Monkeys from the rainforest.

After work we went for a trek in our local woods/Rainforest, equipped with all things necessary for watching birds of paradise, dodging venemous snakes and hiding from jaguars.

Craft Week window display

And we finished off the week with some games and a pic-nic in the park with Playgroup friends :)

Monkey Girl painting her Dora plaster of Paris model.

Ballet Girl made a bead princess all on her own. :) And Monkey Girl made a pink heart all on her own too :)

Ballet Girl and Monkey Girl painted their flower pot objects which we will stick on tomorrow.

Hama beading. Panda Girl later used these in her play kitchen and they were strewn across the entire floor. Not really the same as crumbs as you can't just vacuum them all away.

Monkey Girl's bead dog and Ballet Girl's purses.

... and then we had a pic-nic in the park :)

Tuesday, 24 June 2008

This morning Ballet Girl and Monkey Girl worked really hard on their maths and English. Both did some great vocabulary and Panda Girl proved that she can still read the word "egg" (which nobody appears to have taught her...!). She did some lovely gluey, sticky, sequiny, painty work and then had a good play with Peppa Pig and friends. :)

Ballet Girl and Panda Girl planted strawberry seeds in their mini flower pots.

Ballet Girl and Monkey Girl painted their "Terracotta Potter" flower pots whilst Mummy and Panda Girl made the plaster of Paris shapes to be stuck on them later. :)

Monkey Girl did some rainbow art and then we spent the rest of the day at various gymnastics lessons and playing outside in the sunshine :)
