This year I promised myself we would use lots natural products for Advent and Christmas craft as we have had many an opportunity to make glittery, papery, shiny things over the years
Firstly and most importantly we hung out with baby cousins and went looking for pine cones. The pine cones are currently drying - watch this space!
The children threaded cranberries and popcorn for the tree.
We talked about Sri Lanka where cinnamon comes from. Having only seen it in powdered form, The Boy was delighted to discover it is actually bark from a tree!
They tied the cinnamon sticks in bundles and used ivy from the garden to make a wreath.
They had super fun designing pomanders using cloves and oranges.
Monkey Girl used ivy to decorate the bannisters.
And Ballet Girl used an old coat hanger to form the frame of an ivy wreath for the garden gate.
The Boy sewed a cute felt star bauble.
And we set up our crib in anticipation for the Baby Jesus to arrive in a few weeks.
The kiddies are filling the 'manger' with cotton wool balls each time they do something good, to make it as soft as may be for the King of the World.
They have worked hard on their English, Maths, Nature Study and Science.
And attended lots of Football, Gym and Dance classes!
This Boy was Star of the Day at Football for the third time in a row, and for the fourth time this term.
