Summer 2025

Summer always creeps up on us! One minute, we're studying, the next minute, we're just spending more and more time outside doing something fun. We often begin the Summer with work on the coast or Summer-themed activities, and then it just morphs into living our best lives!

Tap Dancing exam: Distinction!

Sunbaby celebrated her last day at her dance school with a class with her home-from-dance-uni sister. She's now moving to Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, Saturday Associates, where she will have the opportunity to progress and potentially continue with it into higher education, as her sister did. It means early starts and long Saturdays, but she LOVES her dance :)

Amazing Women

Sunbaby did a super fun and inspiring project on amazing women.

We used the book series Fantastically Great Women - we read the books, listened to the audiobooks over and over, and completed the sticker books too.

We started with Jane Goodall, who ended up being her absolute favourite of all the women. We also watched some of her work on YouTube, read her story and listened to her life on an audiobook.

Amelia Earhart: We made and trialled the aerodynamics of paper aeroplanes, learned about Amelia's life, and looked at maps and the Atlantic Ocean.

Mother Teresa, St. Josephine Bhakita, St. Joan of Arc. We loved these! Beautiful women.

Florence Nightingale: We learnt a little about the Crimean War, diseases, and medical care

And Mary Anning. We looked at fossils, the Jurassic Coast, Mary's life, and dinosaurs.

Marie Curie: We did some science experiments and studied her life and work.

Secret Agent Fifi: We had fun with mysteries and clues, puzzles, maps, riddles and secret agent activities.
