Christmas Holidays!

The Christmas Holidays are here and we've been partying!

Ballet Girl made a Christmas Cake for Christmas Day

And she also drew this beautiful picture, which I just love.

Monkey Girl loves drawing horses and I also love her drawing horses!

And she also made this awesome Nativity scene out of foil.

Panda Girl made this cute window picture

And this tiny Fimo stocking for Santa.

Christmas Mess Dinner and Strawberry Santas

These two went to a Black Tie Mess Dinner with the Sea Cadets.  In bed by midnight - wow, when did that bit of growing up happen?!

The other, smaller two made Strawberry Santas. Fun with a capital F!

Panda Girl produced a brilliant plate of strawberry and cream santas....

The Boy ate most of his during the making process and also added a fair bit of 'snow'.

Then it all went slightly bonkers; everything was eaten and the leftover cream was used to make 'ice cream and coffee'.

Without prompting my two littlies then said "let's wash up for Mummy!"  They did a super job.  Gosh I love my children :)

One Week To Go!

One week until Christmas!

The Boy had a play-date with his friend first thing this morning and they did some important Christmas painting.

Yesterday The Boy and Papa made a Christmas bauble with bicarb, water and food colouring in preparation for today, so The Boy and his play-mate could use pipettes of vinegar to fizz it all away!

Big sisters are there to read stories.

I had some paperwork to do this afternoon and the kiddies worked so hard on their own with their workbooks.  The Boy occupied himself with Lego, painting and some activity books and we all had a brilliant, quiet afternoon in the classroom.

Trampolining lessons this evening.

A Day of Christmas-Making-Madness

Panda Girl received, amongst other things, a piping bag for her Birthday.  Monkey Girl is a little crazy about piping bags; probably because she's never had one, has tried valiantly to make one and has seen all the uber cool things one can do with one.  So the only thing to do was let her and Panda Girl have the run of the kitchen to test out the amaaazing piping bag.  :)

While the other girls made cakes, my eldest cleaned out the mouse house and the hamster house, cleaned out and dusted her room, and vacuumed upstairs - because she wanted to. I'm planning on an early retirement.

We made a cute sparkly sort of tree today using rainbow explosion paper....

...pine cone Christmas trees...

...and Christmas puddings...

The Boy made a snowy scene...

Ballet Girl and Mummy used spray paint to make this...

...and The Boy chose and glued all the buttons on his snowman.

Panda Girl made a Christmas hat...

...Monkey Girl created this brilliant snowman decoration...

...and gradually the classroom became more and more chaotic!

The Boy made a 'holly grabber'.  I'm not entirely sure what that entails, but here is the finished product.  He was very proud.

Monkey Girl inevitably made a beard.  She does like to make the odd moustache and beard.  This one came with rose-tinted glasses.

Panda Girl spent a while transforming into Santa

...while Ballet Girl stitched a Christmas bag for her friend.

Finally our silver spray-painted pine cones completed our wreath.

We cleared up to the Benny Hill theme because it makes us work extra fast (!) and we finished the week with two hours of ballet lessons.
