Collecting Firewood and Crayons Melted on Pumpkins

I made huge apples from some scrap material I had, complete with worm :)  The kiddies thought they were very funny.

We melted some crayons on Monkey Girl's pumpkin and made this fun design!

And then Panda Girl experimented with different types of paint on her pumpkin.

Ballet Girl made a cool tissue paper design on hers :) Fun!

Panda Girl made two bird feeders with pine cones, peanut butter and sunflower seeds from our sunflower.

 Nanny gave us her map of Rome following her visit there last week.

Monkey Girl made some yummy gingerbread men.

 She did a great job with the icing, after suggesting we use a cellophane bag with a tiny hole for piping.

The children are members of the RSPB.  Their latest magazines arrived today and we had squeals!

The Boy helped Uncle Thomas collect firewood.

Monkey Girl wrote and designed this fabulous Autumn Potion poem.

A bunch of grass, a furry leaf too,
1,2,3 acorns, that's a lot, woo hoo!
Add an old brown leaf, mix it up well,
Now one of Mummy's flowers; shush, don't tell!
Now let's add some lavender, something nice and sweet.
Let's add a strawberry leaf, oh what a treat!
Now pour it out, and before it sinks away,

Panda Girl loves Hello Kitty.  Today, because she's been so lovely, she was rewarded with a Hello Kitty cupcake pack.  Easy to make, not that healthy, but good for teamwork and good for fun.

After the Boy's nursery the children caught up with friends at the park and then The Boy spent 3 hours at home with his friend on a playdate, where he helped her make a pumpkin face, a 'doingy' spider,  a firework picture and showed her how to flip paper-plate pancakes in Mummy's frying pan. 

Leaf Lacing

The Boy loves to have something set up to do on his desk first thing in the morning.  I set him out a leaf lacing  card (here it is after he'd completed it).

I sleepily took this next photo, from the warmth of my bed early this morning.  My Boy had dressed himself and snuggled in with Mummy for cuddles before we laced up the leaf together.  What a lovely way to wake up :)
